Police

The Hurt Police Department works diligently to ensure our town is a safe and pleasant place to live. Supplementary coverage is provided by the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Department. Hurt also participates in a mutual aid agreement with the adjacent town of Altavista’s police department and other regional agencies. We salute these individuals and sincerely appreciate them for their service to our community.

Pursuant to §§ 15.2-1609.10 and 15.2-1722.1 the Hurt Police Department will provide the data for Community Policing Reporting Database upon request.
