Local State of Emergency

Effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, Pittsylvania County has declared a “Local State of Emergency” (click link below) due to the COVID-19 viral pandemic.  Hurt is covered under the emergency plan implemented by Pittsylvania County.

If you or your family have an actual emergency, please call 911.  We have taken steps to protect our staff and community by locking the doors at Town Hall.  If you are coming to make a payment, simply pass it through the night deposit slot in the door and a receipt will be mailed to you.  If you need to speak to someone in the office, our phone number is 434-608-0554 and is also posted on the door glass for your convenience.

We are temporarily suspending notary services, copy services, and all other services requiring entry to the building.  However, we are continuing all Essential Services.  Please follow your preferred news source for updates from the CDC and WHO concerning COVID-19.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for understanding.
